At this point, my only issues with the D800 would be the lack of sharpness (due to motion blurring) at lower shutter speeds.

Reason, motion blur

For example, a picture that was taken with slight motion blur at 100% pixel peep will disappear when I re-size it to 12MP

To do this on the D800 you have to bump up the ISO to 6400 in order to avoid motion blur and then because of the high pixel density on the sensor your images are full of chroma noise

Nikon have posted a technical guide for this camera which advises on how to deal with motion blur
