Probably since it's stainless steel, but it would be nice to have something to guarantee it stay hot after a couple hours.

one is a big problem for me.... that the stainless steel carafe doesn't seal totally closed by design so the coffee gets cold

It's easy to get a bottle brush down in the carafe, also something that's not always easy on stainless steel carafes

I purchased the stainless steel carafe and it keeps the coffee hot for an acceptable amount of time.

I chose to go with the thermal carafe, but It really didn't keep the coffee hot for longer periods of time,l but at least I don't have to worry about breaking a pot
