    Nintendo 3DS - Cosmo Black

    • i love this thing
    • Looking at the two, they look almost identical in size and to simplify things we can even say they are the same size, but the specs show the 3DS to be a fraction bigger
    • The motion controls, Gyroscope, is one of the nicest things, other than the 3d, that the systems has
    • Really a lovely little thing
    • I just love this thing
    • Good thing if you feel tired by looking in the 3D effect, you can switch it off and play w/out 3D effect
    • The only thing I needed to do was erase the memory and reset
    • 3D game trailers are probably the coolest thing on the 3DS so far
    • , it isn't like spending that long at one time on a video game console is really a good thing.
    • And at $170, it's a pretty decent thing to buy
    • Nintendo Video I think is a really nice thing to have
    • I eagerly lifted up the Nintendo 3DS, removed the plastic, and the first thing I said was: "This thing is sweet!
    • This thing works, and it works well.
    • The only thing that really bothers me is the lack of connectivity
    • I purchased my system yesterday at radioshack(literally across the road from me), and I had mixed feelings about it.on one hand, a number of system functions wont be available till later this month, while on the other, the fact they arent yet enabled can be taken as a good thing, as nintendo is taking the additional time to improve those functions.pros:plenty of built in functions that show off the system's capabilities.backwards compatibility with all ds and dsi titles save the ones that for example use a gba slot, like on the ds, and ds lite.music player functionality, which has been expanded and enhanced to include the ability to play mp3s, something nintendo should have done from the start with the dsi, and for sure should have enabled on the later dsi xl.inclusion of a number of accessories, like the charging cradle, and a 2gb sd card, the latter of which is something that again, should have been included with the dsi and later the dsi xl.cons:the speakers: while possessing great quality sound for most gaming applications(with mariokart ds the speakers are positively loud!), are a bit on the muted side when playing music.the hinge: on the clamshell design, while it doesnt have a solid feeling when locked into place, does lock into place with a satisfying click, and shouldnt be a problem for most gamers.the battery life: isnt anything worth writing home about, that said, with power saving enabled, and an average brightness setting of 3, minimal 3d effect plus wireless on, will see most users hitting the 3 and a half to 4 hour mark.size: feels a bit on the small side given my rather bear paw like hands
    • Bought one of these for myself, then another from gamestop for my wife, and i love the thing
    • I wish these things didn't make my hands fall asleep after a while of holding them... can't they make them more hand-friendly
    • I love the thing; up to this point, the DS has been my favorite handheld platform and my preference for "on the go" gaming, but it was definitely time for an upgrade--was the 3DS the upgrade I was looking for?
    • (I loose things a bit too easily!
    • The only bad thing is that you can only have a maximum of four videos at a time, and you don't get to choose which one gets erased for something you may or may not want
    • The console was delivered in a timely fashion and I have to admit, I thought it would be bigger, but its a really cool device and the most important thing is that it reached safely and it works.
    • I also use it as a back scratcher, night light, and hammer (The thing is tough).
    • It is not like the virtual boy (that thing will give you a headache for a week at least!
    • This thing feels really solid and pushes the envelope
    • In addition, and probably my favorite new thing, we have a little thumbstick
    • Best thing he ever received.
    • My son loves this thing
    • Apparently that thing on the right of the top screen is like a switch that toggles 3D mode on and off
    • If you like 3D than this thing could not be anymore awesome!
    • The only negative thing I have to say about the 3DS is lack of games released so far
    • my son loves this thing.
    • I even found some kind of sticky food thing on the touch screen
    • Hell, I'd not even consider the DSi originally to be much of a new innovative thing
    • The 3DS itself is amazing the 3D effect will blow ur mind and make you laugh in disbelief, the unfortunate thing is the best games are the pre-loaded free games like face-raiders and the AR cards
    • One thing I forgot to mention is that the volume slider actually works properly
    • There are a few other weird complaints I have, but most of them are outweighed by all the positive things I've experienced
    • I cannot say enough good things about this system and I do not really have any criticisms against it
    • I won't break down all the nifty things available with the 3DS, but they are a definite plus at a great price
    • so best thing you could do is: find someone that you may know, and ask to just look at it for a few seconds and vuala you intently want one of your own
    • Its works really great, and makes things so much fun
    • that's a good thing
    • The good thing is that you can turn the 3D off and still play games in 2D.
    • Since this is so fresh, I know there are even better things on the horizon.
    • If you like 3D movies and 3D stuff in General, then this thing is one of the coolest things ever
    • Being unemployed and all, purchasing a 3DS probably wasn't my brightest move, but I do stupid things every now and then
    • I assumed that things would look artificial and that the 3D only worked for things that went off into the distance.
    • If you want a dedicated game player for all ages then 3DS XL is the best thing out there.
    • It is the mos innovative thing Nintendo has come out with, everyone was thinking it, Nintendo just made it a reality, 3D gaming is a great step forward and the product does that effectively.
    • The power button is well-located and very hard to press by accident, which is a good thing, but sometimes it almost take a concerted effort to depress it enough to get it to activate, but that's a minor gripe
    • it's highly unlikely that we'll see a price cut until the next version of the 3DS rolls around... which also means waiting a couple months to buy isn't really going to affect your bank account any differently than buying now, but waiting will likely give you the feeling of a more "complete" system and you'll have more software to choose from (which is a good thing since you'll be less likely to pick up a crappy new game just so you can play one in 3D).
    • WON"T TAKE LONG!!
    • FALSE"I put the 3D effect on full blast, and wifi, and everything else playing Ocarina of Time, and I get at least a good 5-6 1/2 hours
    • I well understand that as we get more powerful hand held devices, battery life is going to suffer.
