    • this is my current favorite game system, it beats out x-box because its so portable so you dont have to go into the basement fight your bro for a turn, SP is the best, back-lit rechargeable battery heck the money you save on batteries adds up to the extra cost of it

    • he loves the 4 games that came with it

    • I had multiple games and tried every one of them, but still no luck
    • Some great games have been produced for the system

    • The SP is equiped with the best hardware, games, a built in front light, and a built in rechargeable Li-ion battery
    • I bought a bunch of the earlier games that were very primitive, just out of fascination for them and to appreciate where a game like Warioland 4 Super Hard Level is about
    • Like the gameboy advance sp, abut sports a brighter screen for better game experience
    • It's always had great games, great graphics, and great sound.

    • I can now play a game like Galaga, very dark background that elicited complaints from regular GBA players because they couldn't see what was on the screenLaptop (clamshell) design: allows for easy storage, because it protects the inside from damage while shrinking it so it can fit in your pocket

    • Everything works and loads of fun for long trips or just when ever you have the free time I recommend the LoZ games first time I've played the original and going to get the ones available for the DS system great price as well.
    • But, what makes this the winner for me is it's compatibility with the hundreds of classic Gameboy (GB) and Gameboy Color (GBC) games, so you have a HUGE library of awesome games for GB, GBC and
    • I mean, it is a very nicely portable handheld game, but kids needs outdoor activities too, like bike ridding, running, basketball, etc

    • You can see the games clearly, the buttons work well and there seems to be plenty of variety in game choices.
    • While portable games today are 3D and more advance they are just not as appealing as glorious 2D pixelated graphics
    • The GBA SP can play GBA games, there so many great games to choose from
    • This is simply the best travel game out there.
    • I am trying to be a hard-core retro gamer, so I checked out some reviews and they all told me that if I want to be retro, this is the right system
    • All in all, with its wide variety of colors, impressive game selection, nice design, and light weight, the Game Boy Advance SP is worth every penny.
    • Like the original, the GBA SP also supports original Gameboy and Gameboy Color games
    • The system is cheaper, the games are cheaper, but the quality of the product and the games has never changed - still great after over 10 years
    • i highly suggest degrading to the sp for classic games and something to throw in yr bag for commutes/trips/waiting in line/standing in an elevator/sitting in a waiting room.

    • The Sacred Cardsall Golden Sun games
    • You can play games on it like yugioh Wrold wide edirtion and finaltsy tactits anmd DBZ: the Legacy of Goku two and Pokemon Ruby
    • I think, and theres still alot of good games out for it, so my advice is to get it.
    • The idea of a Gameboy is a portable game system, and the SP is a very portable system; nice pocket size, long rechargable battery life, front lighting allows game playing in more settings, light weight, and the notebook form factor even protects the screen on the road!
    • this smaller, sleeker design also serves to protect the screen from getting scratchedAll told, these additions are amazing, and saved me at least $25 (now that I don't have to buy all those add-ons from another company).I really enjoy my GameBoy Advance SP, and play all of the great new GBA games as well as my old black and white GameBoy favorites on it.
    • The GameBoy Advance has many great games, most with an art style that matches the Snes
    • I can play my games at night time, or when ever its dark

    • If you love video games this is the thing for you!!!!
    • You get a sleek, sophisticated unit and a library of great games to play on the go.

    • A fold down LCD screen means less scratches, the backlight is fantastic, and the games are just all around good games

    • Without good games, the GBA SP would've become extinct already
    • Not only that, but you can also play earlier versions of Game Boy classic games like Kirby's Dream Land, Tetris, and Super Mario Land, as well as Game Boy Color games like Pokemon', and others as well
    • Like the fact that it's alot more affordable to get and the games for it don't cost you an arm and a leg(mostly in the $25 to $35 range depending on what games you get for it)
    • Along with all the great games, this is a must have product.
    • it's a great portable game for a resonable price.go ahead don't waste your time reading other
    • The system is cheaper, the games are cheaper, but the quality of the product and the games has never changed - still great after over 10 years
    • Lots of fun, great games available, extremely portable and lightweight -- a must-have
    • Great game
    • I ordered this game from Afghanistan when I was deployed and it arrived very quickly and even had a few free games that the sender added for free, very awesome!
    • However, it came with a game cartridge (emerald) which does not work
    • So at that time I still considered the GAME GEAR the best
    • GREAT GAME BOY
    • This Gameboy made a great gift for my son, and the games are very inexpensive
    • All game systems today have to load and make you wait 5 minutes just to boot it up, but not the Game Boy, Just flip it on and boom your playing the game.
    • but instead when I received it it was scratched up from the inside out not to mention when I was playing one of the games they played a different game if anybody wants a Gameboy they might as well find the nearest cheapest game store and buy a better one that doesn't get your money ripped off
    • plus the games are not the gory bloody stuff you see all over modern game systems.
    • And since it's backward compatible with all the previous gameboy systems, you can still enjoy the all the classic games you've collected over the years.
    • And since it's backward compatible with all the previous gameboy systems, you can still enjoy the all the classic games you've collected over the years.
    • If u buy one the screen is lights up, better quality, and smaller games
    • After Christmas I highly doubt they'll even have games available anymore
    • I do know all three grandchildren enjoy the Game Boy Advanced Systems and games very much
    • Super Mario World is an amazing game, and Metroid Fusion is great, but few companies seem to understand the system
    • Granted, I'm old enough to be from the gamer generations that played games like that, and left them idling/afk while we had other real life responsibilities to do, then come back and continue to play the game we were doing before responsibilies called
    • When I noticed about the new game boy advance SP, I bought it right away assuming that finally I found the perfect portable video game, great games, nice graphics, very portable, and with internal light
    • These games and the units themselves, are treasures.
    • The visuals are very nice, and there are tons of great games out there available for the system
    • The SP is crisp, clear, and makes gameplay less taxing, especially on darker games like Castlevania and Metroid Fusion
    • Not only is gold one of the coolest colors, but it comes with arguably the best game in the history of nintendo, Mario 3
    • Well, with the Gameboy, you can have your wife take the biggest TV in the house, and play the game that you like instantly
    • Have tried many other games in the SP, and they all work,
    • The Game Boy Advance was the perfect portable game system
    • but if you are a good gamer go and buy it now.
    • Perfect little starter (portable) game system
    • It is used but not too much superficial damages and works just as great as the new one, enjoy playing old games
    • Grandson loves old games
    • There are many games for the GBA that have player's guides which make the game super fun to play.
    • Since this is the older version, the games are much cheaper than PS3 or Wii and our kids love them.
    • I also purchased the connection cable so she and her sister can play a game together, also recommend you purchase a travel case that holds all of the small items.
    • Compact, bright screen, and a large library of classic games.
    • If you're looking for value in a portable game with very good battery life this is the one
    • No more late night runs to Walmart to get another 64 pack of AAs because you burned through so many playing your favorite game all day for the past week on your original GBA model
    • I put my own personal game in (not the "free" one I recieved) and almost broke my game due to a piece inside the port which is misplaced due to years of hard use
    • All the games and the device worked perfectly.
    • There are over a 1000 games available for the
    • thank you very much for a great buy!thanks for the free game and cord too
    • I would recommend to people who like older games.
    • yo would be alright with this device and the available games, but otherwise I'd be very cautious about this purchase
    • The light improves viewing, but darker games, (like Doom), are still hard to see in anything but a dark room.
    • There are easier and more fanciful games for my niece, and more detailed games for my nephew.
    • I'd rather have this than any other new or old portable game system.
    • It takes a while to charge, but it provides more than enough time to enjoy your games in one sitting
    • Hardcore gamers live for great gameplay, great games, and overall, great gaming innovation
    • Just a great Game Boy Advance SP!!
    • The battery lasts forever, the games are much cheaper than their "newer" cousins (DS, DSi, etc) and on top of that, the device is pretty much indestructible
    • The description about the console turning on after five tries was right before I dropped the precious Game Girl
    • I only gave it 4 stars because it wasn't reading games when we first received it but after cleaning it out with pressured air it works great!
    • Two more huge benefit of this product over the Game Boy Color is that it is rechargeable, meaning you won't be using thousands of pounds worth of AA batteries (which saves money), and it has a lighted screen, so you won't go blind whilst enjoying your games (although you can turn the light off for extra battery life)
    • We found out that most of the currently available games are quite demanding
    • I use it while flying because as you should know, it's veeeery boring to fly, the battery last decades and some game as with any other console are very entertaining
    • It is very easy for him to use and the games are cool too.
    • It sounds great, but to use all this multimedia stuff you have to buy super expensive memory sticks, the games look like jagged PS2 graphics, and UMD movies only work on the PSP.
    • For all Super Nintendo lover out there that miss 2D games now it's at your
    • However, rumble games, such as Pokemon Pinball, do indeed work
    • In addition the Game Boy Advance games, the Game Boy Advance SP will also support old and new Game Boy and Game Boy Color games
    • The only complains are the lack of a headphone jack and that some old games are really hard to find, but a big plus is that you can find some of them REALLY cheap, I got some classic games even at 2-3$ each
    • This is a GREAT game for kids.....great for road trips, doctor office waits, nights with the grandparents, times when the little cousins come over, etc.
    • I love playing the older games like Donkey Kong Country, and I have the first version of a Scrabble Game that I still enjoy
    • I think I bought this console for some titles of nintendo that I couldn't find in any other game console some titles like metroid or mario.
    • The games with the built in sensors like Kirby's Tilt'N'Tumble may not work properly with this unit because the cartridge would be flipped upside down during play
    • the only bad part is the games are really hard to
    • The SP is also probably the least bulky portable game system (but you'll still look like a loser if you carry it around in your pocket!)
    • Yes, Nintendo will release soon a Virtual Store for the 3DS so you can buy classic GB games and play them on the 3DS, but to me the experience and feeling is not the same like popping in your old GB, charming little cart and play like it was mean to be, and I doubt so much good games like R-Type and Adventure Island will be available on the 3DS.The GBA-SP may surely not appeal the younger or the people that want the latest cutting-edge devices, but it DOES appeal old-school gamers like me that loved those "real" games on their NES and SNES, with ports like the Super Mario Advance 1-4, Zelda
    • Unlike some of the other portable game systems, this one is not bulky.
    • Second, all games that work on the previous gameboys work on this one perfectly and let for little problems
    • In addition to which there are many games available that younger children, at different skill levels, can play.
    • When my son isn't playing with it, I enjoy playing 'nostalgic' games on it....remember Dig Dug, Pacman, Galaxy?
    • I mention the great games that came out for this???!Comes with a chargerCharges rather quicklyCons
    • Some games that work in other gameboys do not work in this one.
    • I remember having the original gameboy when I was a kid and this brings back those memories w/ Nintendo's classic games along w/ some great new additions
    • I am a big fan of the Mario Kart all of the Pokemon Series, as well as Kirby and other games you can get for GBC or Advanced
    • Backwards compatible for the old classic Game Boy & Game Boy color cartridges.
    • This thing is tiny and there's no problem carrying it around, but it manages to pack enough power to play some great games - Metroid Fusion is particularly pretty
    • All but one of the random games thrown in were broken, however, I paid for the Nintendo and received that in perfect working condition
    • there are sellers here that will charge you over $200.00 for a fake game boy
    • it also became the platform of different classic games such as pokemon, kingdom hearts and the like
    • i love this game boy, its my favorite of all Nintendo handhelds
    • Great little game, at half the cost of the DS.
    • Madden 2007, which I also wrote a review for on amazon.com is a great game for this system, and parallels the GameCube version very well.
    • But there are two main problems that i would like to share with you:1) the FUN games are few and far between: youll find yourself getting some games, and either finishing them in a very short time span, or giving up on them and trading them in because they are just plain boring after the first level or so; maybe it's just because im getting older (early 20s), but games in general are not fun anymore
    • It's like having a portable Super Nintendo -- and in fact, many of that system's games are available for the GBA SP
    • Like the fact that it's alot more affordable to get and the games for it don't cost you an arm and a leg(mostly in the $25 to $35 range depending on what games you get for it)
    • While more and more games are becoming available for cell phones and PDAs, none of those games can compete with the gameplay, graphics, and intensity of the games for GBA.
    • the games are pretty cheap to buy as
    • i love video games
    • It really enhances the games!
    • Folks like me enjoy 2-D games over 3D, fewer buttons over dozens.
    • With tons of great games on the market and even better ones coming out in the next few months, the game selection is tremendous
    • This is probably the best Game Boy model made
    • It is great quality, holds up to my daughter dropping it and the games are just as sturdy.
    • love this game way back when lost it and re purchased it for something to do at work
    • There are so many great games, there is a huge library of GB, GBC, and GBA games to choose from
    • If you are a Game Boy collector and freak like myself and own all the classic games up to the
    • Some people talk about better handheld game systems but the one at [...] is over $200 dollars and has no Nintendo games.
    • The game collection available is huge and includes many classic SNES games (Super Mario Bros. 3) and some brand-new, quality titles (Metroid Fusion)
    • This is a great game system, and I love it because it is so affordable, and everybody loves it
    • I am a portable games fan, since the sega game gear, game boy, etc
    • The Gameboy is not as the owner really describe, th product us way beyond better than they give credit for, came so fast, extremely protected, with a game included as well, the console don't even have many scratches, just 1 or 2 small marks, but with skin u don't even see it,and the screen is just like new,no damage at all
    • It seems to work pretty well, I've been playing it for past couple days and had issues loading games a couple times but those issues were solved by turning it off, unplugging the game, clearing the contacts, re-inserting, and turning back on
    • Product description matched what arrived and they even threw in a free game so that was awesome
    • I was looking for a nice system to play a few classic games on and it seemed so perfect, except for the price of the new ones
    • This is the BEST portable game machine ever made!
    • The GBA SP's frontlight does have some issues, the most notable being that the bluish color of the light gives very dark games a blue tint
    • I mean really, with all of the accessories needed to fully enjoy the games, it comes out to more then this system with everything included is
    • i wanted one of these for a long time after they came out, then i finally got one this is one of the best portable game
    • A Link to the Past and the hundred of classic GB games like Super Mario Land, AND with the ability to play them ANYWHERE, these kind of gamers will feel like in heaven with a GBA-SP
    • The extra games make it that much more fun for the kids to open
    • These wonderful games always had great gameplay, but they are dark--so dark that monsters sometimes snuck up on me... so dark that I could never appreciate the detailed graphics.
    • Plays games great
    • Love the classic arcade games available for it!
    • A good rule of thumb is the cheaper the game the easier it may be (not true in all cases).
    • She loves the color and the games with them.
    • The price of this unit is great, but the games are like $30 bucks each, WOW!!!!
    • the fast food gamer plays for fun, to loosen up, but videogames never really become a part of their personality
    • really fun little game that reminds me of the good old days when all you had was a mario or a
    • All the games work.
    • it is a good gift for anybody and there is and almost endless posobility of good game choices and it plays both gamboy color and game boy advance games
    • I tried many games and it still wont work
    • If you are a Game Boy collector and freak like myself and own all the classic games up to the
    • My son received this as a birthday gift and it has got to be the best handheld game system ever
    • You can get Gameboy and Gameboy Color games for around a dollar each if you're savvy so you can build up a decent game collection in no time
    • Summary: not a bright screen!Well Nintendo, I know someday not far, you will be able to make the perfect game boy (with Backlighting, tv output, and headphones jack...
    • this thing is so sweet the battery last so long and the games look so clean and good graphics i recomend this to any body get this thing!
    • love this game way back when lost it and re purchased it for something to do at work
    • This is a great system for nostalgic folks like me who love playing the original NES games (and, like me, may have trouble with the fancy 3D controllers) as well as those who like the newer games.
    • My son 3 loves it though and will love it even more when he can actually play a game and succeed!!
    • GBA still has the same great games it always has had, capable of playing all the old GameBoy and GameBoy color games in both wide screen and 4X3 mode, like the original GBA, and best of all, the screen is finally lit and can be played regardless of your lighting conditions, and there is an internal rechargeable battery that is fully charged in a matter of a couple hours
    • Very possibly the best Game Boy ever.
    • But besides that, the GBA SP is a fabulous game system, and is totally worth adding to your collection!
    • There are a lot of game that can be played on this device and my grandson enjoys the games that can be played on them.
    • You may also find these Game Boys toys and games cheaper in auction places such as Ebay

    • The GameBoy Advance SP not only feels great to use, but it houses many great games and, for as long as I've had it, it was barely damaged
    • There are a ton of great games out there that can be enjoyed on this
    • charge lasts long, screen has a backlight (which isn't that bright but what do you expect from a 10 year old piece of technology), and can play gbc games as well as advanced games
    • Good game system exactly like the game boy color system only more modernized and higher technology and it folds and has a back light and rechargable battery pack to just plug into the wall cool game system though it plays the old school game boy games, game boy color games, and the game boy advance games defently excellent game system.
    • Madden 2007, which I also wrote a review for on amazon.com is a great game for this system, and parallels the GameCube version very well.
    • There are so many great games for the GBA SP, you can even play GB, andGBC games as well as GBA
    • Twisted, and so many other great Game Boy Advance titles out there
    • Reads all games perfectly, no horrible scratches or discoloring on system
    • Great system, great games, looks beautiful, comes in a variety of colors, quality build, etc
    • The game I was playing still works, and there is no visible damage
    • but I'd don't know how well it plays games because I don't have a
    • The light works wonderfully, and the bluish tint isn't all that noticable except in very dark games
    • The SP is also probably the least bulky portable game system (but you'll still look like a loser if you carry it around in your pocket!)
    • The game is wonderful
    • it's great to have the backlighted screen, but I can't say it's as crisp, sharp and bright as I would have hoped.
    • Worked as far as we have tried it.
    • It's not quite as sharp as the Gameboy Micro's screen but there is nothing to worry about
    • love this! A+
