With earbuds with over-the-ear hooks (so you can hook one end on something and properly use them as an antenna), however, you can get pretty decent reception if your favorite station doesn't stream or if you're listening to mlb.

I can pop in an SD card and play my own music, the antenna reception is pretty good for it's small size and the speaker is fantastic

I only listen to a couple radio stations (didn't use the micro-sd card at all) and with a cheap set of hook-over-the-ear earbuds to plug into the FM/LineIn jack, the reception is pretty good and the speaker quality ain't bad.
