Note that charging does not use A/C; rather it's a USB charge, which accounts for the slower charge

The battery won't hold a charge and since I only drive it occasionally a new battery would just die before I needed it again.

Perhaps the biggest problem is that the pack charges with a whopping 2 Amps, meaning it takes a very long time to build a charge

You can get a few jumps out of it between charges, but without the special, sold separately fast charging cable, it takes a really long time to charge.

They hold their charge very well, and start up is incredibly quick

As long as you check it regularly to be sure it actually has its charge it should work fine

First I used a fast charge phone adapter because this company thought it was smart to send a battery like this to charge via a micro USB and a phone charger adapter that they dont include with the product

I actually used a similar device a few months ago that advertised as idiot proof and managed to short out some fuses when I switched the positive and negative charges.

After slow charging 100%, the state of health for it is about 65%(use a diehard battery charger) as shown on my battery tester

but once it's charged it work's great.

It does lose its charge but I throw it back on the charger every other month to stay sharp

I have a large 6 cylinder truck and when I jump start it with another car it takes a while to generate sufficient charge

Would recommend this unit or the next model up as for trucks you will need the extra power
