NOCO GENIUS10, 10-Amp Fully-Automatic Smart Charger, 6V And 12V Battery Charger, Battery Maintainer, And Battery Desulfator With Temperature Compensation

    • The manufacturers of lead acid batteries put out a specification with charging voltage.
    • Unknowingly, they replaced it with a lower amperage lead-acid piece of junk.
    • For a 2nd time it leaked acid everywhere.
    • With the awareness of the AGM limitation, I rate it at 5 stars due to its lead acid performance for which I am very pleased.
    • Whether it be Lead Acid, AGM, Gel, Flooded, Deep Cycle and Lithium, the NOCO Genius 10 can charge, maintain and repair batteries
    • The 1st was a smallish, lead-acid AGM (gel) battery for my snowmobile.
    • It's a little higher priced than a standard charger, but it does lithium batteries as well as lead acid
    • I have used it on 2 different regular lead/acid batteries and it did not charge either one
    • I have to use 14.5v (12v lead-acid mode) to charge my 100Ah lifepo so it won’t trigger the over-voltage protection.
    • With the Noco 10, I was able to charge the lead acid battery from a completely dead state to 100% SOC, 100% SOH - the charging and boost feature worked great!
    • Like the fact that the charger does lithium batteries as well as age and flooded lead acid batteries.
    • During the pandemic, I seldom drove either of my two vehicles - a 2004 Lexus SUV with a 750 CCA lead acid battery and a a 2010 Lexus hybrid with an 355 CCA AGM battery.
    • The 1st was a smallish, lead-acid AGM (gel) battery for my snowmobile.
    • It does the lead acid batteries very well, I have yet to use it on Lithium batteries
    • The recover mode has also worked well 2 other standard lead-acid batteries that were underperforming and not maintaining full charge with my battery tender
    • So I plunked down $100 to buy the GENIUS 10 and plugged it in to my 6 month old wet lead acid battery running about 10.8v (totally discharged) in a 75 degree room
    • wet lead acid battery and NOCO 10a charger
    • When I tried to do a charge on the smaller battery after a while all it did was literally start boiling the acid out of the battery
    • By not providing any guidelines for how the product should operate, they can pretty much put out whatever crap chargers they want and lean back on their "SUPER SECRET GENIUS" method of charging lead acid batteries, which is crap.- The NOCO charger uses too low of a voltage
    • I’m an engineer with experience in charging lead acid batteries
    • One of the car batteries, I completely drained the old acid and it was nasty dark gray
    • Purchased this to desulfate and repair a couple lead acid batteries
    • My first use of this charger was on a four year old 12v 500 CCA flooded lead acid battery
    • It works fine with lead-acid battery.
    • Btw how does charging a lead acid at a constant (not bursts) 15+volts "repair" it
    • Just a few 100Ahr lead acid batteries cost over $500, and in no way will I allow this piece of crap charger demise them to half their life!
    • Acid leaked all over.
    • For being a "smart" device, it's more like a smart A$$
    • Works as it should and having standard connectors to all of my batteries even better.
