so we needed to get a portable speaker as well.

I kept that player, and am able to use a micro cord to hook right into the speaker/ head phone hole, thus essentially creating an exterior cd drive; the speaker of the original cd/radio player works great, as a remote speaker.

Paired it with a small bluetooth speaker -great.

It paired just as easily with my JBL portable speaker

The only “complaint” I have is that getting it to connect with my Bose portable speaker isn’t always quick and seamless, but once I have the sound is excellent.
