Excellent RPG reminds me of my childhood days playing Final Fantasy VI on the PSX

While Bravely Default may challenge the title, I feel like Octopath Traveler is definitely the best turn-based "classic" RPG of modern gaming

Instant fun, despite being a big, long rpg

It is not a near perfect old school RPG game like Shin Megami Tensei IV or Persona 5, but this is a worthy purchase for fans of classic RPGs or new fans interested in a classic style RPG.

This is a great RPG that updates some traditional rpg elements and introduces new fun and impactful elements to the genre.

If that weren't enough, each story is a lot more grounded and mature than what you would expect from any game much less a modern Japanese rpg

I bought Octopath Traveler simply because it seemed like a solid turn-based rpg with a unique art style and some modern mechanics

In other words, it’s a modern RPG, with roots dug deeply in both the past and present

If you ever loved a 8 or 16-bit RPG than you will love this game.
