    Octopath Traveler

    • Pretty good story lines, though the dialogue can be a little cheesy.
    • However, none of the stories interconnect, making it a bit confusing as to why the noble warror Oberion, the pinnacle of pride and righteousness, is traveling with Therion, a straight up thief, whose entire story involves breaking into people's homes and stealing precious stones
    • Traveling between towns is very pretty, but very short, which means you only get 10 minutes rest between another mediocre story line
    • I want a stronger story line, but I love the game otherwise.
    • You can get all 8 travelers in one playthough, however you must at all times use the one you choose first (at least in chapter 1).All 8 characters have great story telling and voice acting
    • It's not because each of their story aren't interconnected, but mostly they are just all really lame story
    • Each individual story is broken down by Chapters and these stories feel like they could very well stand alone as their own game
    • All 8 characters have four chapters and there’s a great lengthy story to be found in each tale
    • Beautiful graphics, captivating stories, fantastic and addicting battle system -- what's not to love
    • Mainly, people take issue with the lack of connectivity between the characters - that is to say, there really isn't any story about them working together, but they just happen to be traveling together
    • The game expertly blends classic jrpg elements with new twists and most importantly has a captivating story that doesn't rely on world ending domination obsessed villains
    • With a lot of rich story and content
    • Though none of these give the same feel as the overarching big bad stories of the older games, they still firmly establish that these people are from the same world and that that world is alive and in motion
    • It's beautiful, the combat system is fun and easy to grasp, and the stories are good too
    • OPT is a beautiful game with great stories and an amazing battle system that old and new players will appreciate.
    • This game has great emotional stories, great characters, and the best turn based combat system I've laid hands on
    • If you want a great story of 8 strangers banding together with amazing music and charming scenery and sprites this is the game for you.
    • It has some wonderful combat and a beautiful style, but I cannot overlook the complete lack of character building and the vapid story
    • Characters may not have the best stories, but it's interesting enough to keep playing
    • All the initial stories that I have played have been enjoyable without trying to be too complicated
    • The story can be really cheesy and I didn’t pay much attention to it
    • THE BAD- The story
    • Amazing music, great story, beautiful backgrounds to support the pixelated monsters and people, and so fun
    • I started as the thief therion and enjoy his story a lot but ended up loving Primrose the dancer and cyrus the teacher the most
    • Cool story, awesome gameplay, incredibly deep job system
    • Great turn based RPG with awesome story!
    • All 8 characters have four chapters and there’s a great lengthy story to be found in each tale
    • While the story seems weak, the gameplay makes up for it
    • It has a great story, but a story that can easily be skipped if you are not interested
    • I haven't played the game for long, however, I personally love the combat system, the story is solid, and the art for it is beautiful as well
    • The only issue I have is the stories of the Travellers are inconsistent in quality, and they don't have an actual reason beyond "you showed up!" to help each other
    • However, if you go into this game expecting a good story, you may be disappointed
    • I didn't even get to the combat because the stories are all so bland and such a chore to sit through that no matter how good the combat is it doens't justify playing a 100 hour game where I just want to skip every cutscene
    • The stories are mature than I expected and better than your typical JRPG.The combat is turned based and has some depth to it.8 storylines make this for a fun and legthy adventure
    • The games fun, the stories are engaging, and there is a lot of variety in the combat strategies.
    • I enjoy the 8 different stories.
    • Primrose has, in my opinion, the best (and darkest, most mature) story; one of avenging her dead father
    • No grinding necessary; just complete the individual stories and your level will naturally progress as you finish the chapters
    • Stunning graphics, great story, beautiful sound track
    • Needless to say, I loved the story
    • The battle system is unique and the story is great
    • The stories themselves are boring and the characters do not interact which is very odd
    • Needless to say, I loved the story
    • The stories of the main characters seem cliche but nonetheless entertaining
    • Great and deep combat, story and graphics, which pay homage to classic RPGs, Though be warned: the late game can be a bit of a
    • The story itself are broken down into 8 independent stories
    • If you enjoy old school turn based RPGs with great story telling, here you go.
    • The party banter, side quests, and different personalities make up for the lack of one cohesive story throughout much of the gameplay
    • and this is the best story ( as per everyones words ) ?
    • It is true that the stories are a little cliche and not the best writing, but in my opinion, I think that's the point as it IS a throwback to the older genre.
    • I can't say I love all the story
    • If you miss the RPG’s of yesterday this game is a must own addition to your library.
    • n’t compare it to anything, but I like the combat system
