Definitely recommend this mat if you have a need to protect hard surface floors such as hardwood or laminates.

This mat is hardly noticeable and seems to be doing a good job of protecting the wood surface after about 2 weeks of use.

I noticed questions about whether to install this with the smooth surface up or down.

The surface was too smooth
