I've owned and used dozens of plastic chair mats in my time and this has never been an issue...until this particular mat.

As others have pointed out, this floor mat is very rigid and arrives slightly folded in a big box ready to jump out like a jack-in-the-box

I also really like that they offered it as a rectangular mat without the silly cutouts at the end like a "classic" mat.

so no unrolling and days of getting it to flatten on the carpet, it lets my chair roll very easily .It is just a little thicker than my old one so that is a big plus .All in all I really like this mat
