    (OLD MODEL) Crucial M500 480GB SATA 2.5” 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal Solid State Drive - CT480M500SSD1

    • Just wish someone would tell me how to reclaim the 100 mb of disk space we lost since our original HD was only 140 gigs and this one is 240, but only 140 are being used
    • Installed on Mac Mini(late 2012), and made the primary hard disk
    • Like many of the one star reviews on here, my disk randomly died one day for no rhyme or reason
    • If you want this SSD, and have a laptop, you will need to download a utility from a different hard disk vendor such as Seagate
    • I love it so much, make any slow computer fast, just by replacing your hard disk drive with one of these.
    • You must manually to disable the hard disk cache feature in order to take full advantage of SSD.

    • The Crucial CT480M500SSD1 2.5-inch SSD is a relatively easy to format, as I was going to use it in an Inateck® USB 3.0 Hard Drive Disk HDD Enclosure
    • When connected externally using a USB drive enclosure, it popped up as an unreadable disk which I easily formatted using Disk Utility
    • Hard disk model has been set to AHCI, and 4 k has been aligned
    • The 240 GB SSD is big enough for the operating system and most programs while the terabyte hard disk stores the larger portion of music, photo, and video data files
