My single largest issue was cloning my current drive to it while shrinking the partition

Crucial solid state drives have always worked well for me, and this one is no different.

These solid state drives are much better than the spinning discs that come with computers.

On laptops there are a lot of pieces you have to take apart to get to the hard drive which can be intimidating, also after the drive is installed there are settings you might have to change on your computer for the new drive to work properly.

In short, this drive may be a great deal for someone who already knows how to migrate from an existing hard drive to an SSD, but if you have never done it before, this drive is NOT the one to get.

Through no fault of Crucial's, the drive would not work (faulty SATA cable can't handle the speed of the drive, apparently).

After a huge runaround I found out that a lot of MacBook Pro's have had problems with this hard drive and that the SATA cable in the MacBooks need to be replaced for it to work.

When I used the source hard drive with the laptop, and the SSD in a USB caddy plugged in, I can access the files on the SSD.
