I've written zero (0)s to the drive and will try to reinstall Mac OS X hopefully I can revive this SSD

My SSD went from 50GB free to 120GB free and changed my boot time from over 60 seconds to under 30 seconds.

I love SSD never again buying another HARDDRIVE.

A laptop takes more abuse than a desktop so an SSD will make it more robust

the write rate is slow compare other same type ssd, but as a whole this ssd is good

Be sure you understand the way that an SSD splatters info all over the drive so you no longer defrag the drive

These drives may not be the #1 fastest SSD in the world, but they're still MANY TIMES faster than any HDD, and yes they're noticeably

So fast you forget how much you paid for it and become ever so grateful you have a blazing fast SSD in your computer

I did compromise some storage capacity with the switch, i.e. I downgraded from a 750 GB HDD to the 500 GB SSD, but the trade off has been more than worth it in terms of user experience and cost savings (I can hold off on a new machine for a few more years now).

This older SSD is excellent for the cheap price, why pay $100 more for a drive that is 5% faster?

I purchased this SSD years ago back when it was still new on the market, but this is a warning to any one: my drive came with 9 bad SSD blocks out of the box (even though the drive still works fine as of this review).More over there are much better faster SSDs available (Samsung 850 or 860 EVO or Crucial MX500), so buy something else

The Crucial M500 is undoubtedly a good SSD; however, both the Amazon clerk and I checked Crucial's info on this SSD and it supposedly fit my Lenovo 11S...wrong

* Recommendation, pay an extra $40 and get the MX200 1TB SSD, it is even faster, same warranty, same company, way much more "life" endurance about 320 TB, if you use 2 TB per month which is insane, that is 13 years of having the SSD alive

Crucial M500 SSD works.

I didn't want to break the bank for performance, and would use a 1TB IDE drive to store all my data, so a 240G SSD was perfect
