(Old Model) Seagate 1TB Desktop HDD SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive (ST1000DM003)

    • Errors appeared months before the drive died, but didn't die till after.
    • The test also said the drive had been on for an embarrassing 2 months 20 days before failing
    • Died 18 months in without warning
    • I restored about 900GB of backed-up data, and it worked fine, right up until it died (~4 months of use).
    • 4 months later and no problems
    • Still under warranty, but Seagate only will allow you to mail the drive back and then send a replacement which takes around a month as opposed to providing a refund
    • The Seagate hard drive only lasted a year and 3 months what a pile of #$*&
    • 6 months and the hard drive already failed on me
    • Hey I only had this hard drive only 4 months and all of a sudden it stopped working and now the window closed to return
    • Less than 12 months after the first failure, another of my originally-purchased drives failed
    • One month on the dot and the HDD failed
    • It died (actually locks up the computer when plugged in via USB or directly via SATA) about a month after the warranty expired.
    • Errors appeared months before the drive died, but didn't die till after.
    • As soon as I bought it started failing - only one month of usage - it made my computer slower and slower.
    • Failed 3 months out of the 2 year warranty period
    • Oh thou pile O crap
    • It is recognized by Windows Device Manager but Disk Management can't do anything because of an i/o error
    • 2T is a lot of data and works well for me
