To use this in an external enclosure, make sure it supports 8TB and make sure it supports desktop drives, because you will need an additional power source on top of the SATA connection for this in an external enclosure

It's the best and one of the most reliable 4TB drives under $125.

I was going to get a 3TB drive but didn't want to only have around 2.6TB usable space

can't NOT recommend these drives enough, avoid the 3TB models like the plague.

2T is a lot of data and works well for me
