The glass is solid, nicely beveled, although the angled rear corners are still at a slightly odd angle when the unit is pushed towards the wall such that a corner of glass will still touch the wall, at a reduced angle than if the rear corners were 90 degrees.

Simple design, thick glass, very strong.

In hindsight, I'd have opted for the OmniMount Tria 1 B - 1 Shelf Wall Furniture (Black/Dark Glass) (no swivel, black glass) or the much smaller OSD Audio DVD-Shelf-2BE Wall Mounting Bracket Single Shelf for DVD or Other A/V Components (Black), which I've used for another TV's STB.I'm still happy with this OmniMount ECSB shelf, and have ordered another for my AV receiver to mount above the current shelf.

It works great, but more flexibility in positioning the glass would be my recommendation.

To me, you look at this picture on here and it looks like the glass is right next to the base, this is not the case.
