Perfect mic stand for that has a good weight and adjustable height and excellent for

The Samson mic and shock mount combination above combine to give just a tad too much weight beyond this mic stand's center of gravity, and while the stand itself does not FALL over, with the Samson mic and shock mount set-up outlined above, the whole kit and kaboodle can certainly TIP to one side, which, as I'm sure you can imagine with a desktop mic stand, is less than ideal

I have an inexpensive mic for looks on my desk, one day I had to use it for an actual recording and switch mic clips on it.

Haven't used it to record yet, but my concern when I ordered it was that the base might not have enough weight to support the mic and shockmount I planned to use

I bought a nice mic on a deal a few months ago and needed a stand for it (for the podcast/gaming stream I'm never gonna do even though I keep saying I will)
