to note - pay close attention to the plug on the black "cell phone friendly" cord.

Also today about 3 or so months later the cord has broken at the part that plugs into the computer

Another plus to this arrangement is if the cord goes bad, just replace it for a plug and play solution instead of disassembling, soldering and replacing the cord

The other cord works with the 1/8” (3-wire) sterio jack (like the airplane) or the 1/4” sterio (3-wire) jack.

In some ways, better----the reversible 3.5mm / .25" cord is great; as a DJ it makes it easy to go from my PC to mixer without needing an adapter
