Great bass, but not so much that it overpowers the mids and highs

They have great bass punch without being at all muddy or rumbly, and the rest of the frequency response range sounds great as well

I was able to get close to the Sony level of bass punch I wanted by boosting the bass on my computer's equalizer without any noticeable distortion or clipping.

Maybe is the size of the diaphragm but the sound is very clear, basses are precise and every sound is perfectly defined

But when that is said then the sound is really GREAT - heavy bass, and a really smart construction of the cable wich is mini jack in one end and big jack in the other - and 2 plug-ins in the headset a big jack in one cup - and the mini-jack in the other earcup - so you can always attach to either big or minijack without being forced to have an adapter (wich I always end up losing)
