My only complaint is that the unit sometimes makes some noise when playing a CD, it is a noise coming from inside the unit as the CD is not properly seated in the internals or something like that, when this happens I usually eject the CD and then insert it again and then the noise is usually gone

The audio quality is spectacular, and if you are in the market to add a dedicated CD player, I highly recommend this Onkyo unit.

Nice solid unit

After reading some Onkyo forums, I opened the unit and cleaned the laser lens with some alcohol with a Q-tip.

The power supply on the unit died, and rather than go through the expense and trouble of replacing it, I bought a Tascam professional unit

This is exactly the kind of substantial, no-fluff, well-thought-out unit we should have in abundance by now

My music is new again and as stated in reviews of this player I am hearing things I had not heard before I highly recommend this unit if you are looking for a CD player, The five discs are nice for loading up a lot of music to just chill to but the sound quality on this player has made me a convert.
