Onkyo HT-S3800 5.1 Channel Home Theater Package

    • Amazing receiver for the price.
    • Though the speakers have a simple clip on the back to attach wires, the receiver uses a screw to pinch the wire
    • The first package I received was damaged and the receiver had a huge dent on it.
    • The receiver and the speakers look great
    • would definitely recommend this a/v receiver to anyone interested in a solid dolby atmos setup
    • During setup process, the receiver would freeze & flicker when it came to step 5 for the ARC setup.
    • I feel like the receiver is top of the line and easily switches inputs for all my hdmi dreams!
    • The "Dolby Atmos Enabled" in this package means the receiver is capable of processing Dolby Atmos movies
    • I called Onkyo and spoke to someone extremely rude who told me the issue was the receiver and suggested that I take it in for repair
    • The receiver has limited features compared to most on the market right now but it's also not nearly as expensive
    • The perfect receiver with these speakers which is a great deal...
    • Pros:This receiver can handle many audio formats including Dolby Atmos for a fairly low price
    • We then moved on to try and trouble shoot the receiver over the phone.
    • Basically with my comcast box plugged in to the receiver, this receiver works fantastic
    • The receiver also has a built-in AM/FM radio as well.
    • Excellent system capabilities, however it's plagued by a buzzing in the left height channel that diminishes enjoyment (connected every speaker to the left heigt channel, replaced entire system including the receiver, used 16 gauge speaker wire, no wires touching, switched to a higher quality HDMI cable, plugged all devices into a single surge protector, purchased an EbTech ground loop hum eliminator, all to no avail)
    • During setup, the receiver even updated my firmware to the latest version, cool.
    • I noticed the receiver remains a bit warm when using Standby, so I turned it to
    • The guy at customer service at Onyko said I should buy one of these and disconnect my Bose speakers immediately before they blow the receiver.
    • It's absolutely true that the receiver is HDCP 2.2 compliant (you will need this for Ultra HD Blu-Ray) and will allow you to pass through a 4K 60 Hz signal, but there's a slight caveat that plagues a lot of HDMI 2.0 devices right now
    • AMAZING Receiver
    • I'm loving that the receiver is easy to use, it's hardware is a generation beyond what I need so upgrading my input devices and projector will be easy
    • I picked this set for the Atmos speakers and was expecting the receiver to not be full featured since this a bundle and not a very high end one, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well the receiver works and all the features it has
    • The receiver is just terrible
    • Receiver has audio loss and static after only 7 months of use on conditioned power
    • Not only does the receiver work great, Onkyo stood by their good name.
    • Great receiver for the money
    • My ancient SONY 5.1 receiver used to suck a constant 300W of wall power whether the volume was at maximum
    • Receiver is easy to use, seems solid.
    • Receiver was almost impossible to set up to turn on and off correctly with a multi-unit remote.
