I've owned one of the round, suction-cupped speakers under one brand name, and used it until it died, at which point I ordered a newer version of the same speaker under another brand name, which didn't work.

I will NOT blow you away, but the sound is good, clear (if your not too hugely picky!!!).In simple words, it's a great value for money (i.e. I've heard similar sound on more expensive brands with at least double the price).FYI, i'm not a heavy user of it.

It might be worth it to buy a more expensive brand with a return policy

I have a much more expensive brand but don't really like taking it to the beach since it isn't water resistant

I would definitely buy this before some of those higher priced ones that come with expensive name brands.

I compared it to a Logitech X300 as well as to a cheap $19 bluetooth speaker I had sitting around that I purchased from WalMart many years ago.
