The new 103 model came out and i was still going back and forth on whether i wanted to fork out $500 for a new bluray player when my PS3 does a fine job and is a good player in its own right

The BDP really does a great job on that video signal as well.

The OPPO team did a very nice job of packing.

Watching Blu-rays is secondary and the OPPO 103 does a stellar job of that

this player is as advertised and well worth the money has the best picture on bluray i have seen and does the best job of up converting dvd i have seen

It did a fine job handling SVCDs, data CDs & DVDs with DivX, Xvid, mpg4 & VOD files, both NTSC & PAL (made region-free via a menu sequence) DVDs, and upscaling to 720p & 1080i

This player is also capable to handle 3D blu rays, and while some people may never use the 2D to 3D conversion, I found that the Oppo does a better job handling the conversion signal than my 65 3D Samsung LED TV

Awesome job playing older TV show DVD's where the PS3 would jitter and struggle.

Fast loader, great picture, does a great job with music,I would recommend to any one looking to upgrade their current player

Oppe does a wonderful job pushing out firm ware updates frequently to make sure that player is up to date with the latest tech standards.

I use this with a 64 inch Samsung plasma and an Integra 80.3 processor and it does a great job

DVDs look fantastic as the player does a great job with up scaling

I primarily use this as an audiophile CD player in my McIntosh system and it does a very good job

The HDMI inputs on the blu-ray player are AWESOME and do a great job of enhancing other components in my setup

because it does a great job with CD's (though slow loading) and because it is beautiful and matches my Elite receiver.

The adaptive video processing does a nice job of slightly reducing noise in noisy video sources without sacrificing clarity (i.e. noticeably softening the image), where as it preserves the super clear quality of digitally shot, noise free sources.

it does a very nice job of converting PAL video to NTSC video - my old Pioneer DV-S737 DVD player was able to output in PAL, but the picture would always be cut off at about 15% off the bottom (my North American Panasonic Plasma television wasn't displaying the PAL video entirely correctly).

I bought this mainly for it's ability to upscale all inputs to 4K output and it does a great job of that
