Previous Blu-Ray players would sometimes have trouble playing a Blu-Ray disk, so ordered this one from favorable reviews.

It was hard to spend $500 on a less than well known brand, but the lavish reviews made it tempting

After reading a huge number of extremely positive reviews I decided to purchase the BDP-103

I don't understand all the positive reviews for this machine.

I'm not one of those fake review writers, and some of my lifelong friends might say that I'm not easily motivated, but when I am wowed by a product's quality and impressed with professionalism of the folks who provide real technical support, I am compelled to give credit due

There are certainly less expensive products on the market, but all the reviews I read that eventually convinced me to spend more for a BlueRay player simply rated it tops.

I bought this based on the great reviews and OPPO did not disappoint

Technically speaking, this will be a weak review, with no details.

I've seen many reviews which claim something isn't working but, after my 2 hours of manual reading, found references where certain features will work only with a specific level of updates or specific choices in Settings.

Based on the positive reviews and Oppo's reputation, I had high expectations for this player.

(not at all common nowadays to get so many good reviews), i decided to go for it...from packaging to performance, detailed manual, great remote and on screen menu paired up with those accessories that everybody seems to "forget" nowadays (hate to buy products worth lots of money and then have to run out to the store to buy a "stupid" cable since the manufacturer thought it was "too much to include it in the box

As good as all the reviews said it is but does not play 4K DVD's disappointing

You know good but not great reviews for the video quality, and makes it look like a 10+ Almost as if it was one of the best looking blurays I have seen!

There are plenty of positive reviews out there from a technical performance perspective if you need those

This takes a blu-ray (JP) that has been getting decent reviews

I bought this $499 BD player based on many good customer reviews.

Bought this for the great reviews based on audio quality, zero complains with the picture quality as well.

Since the Philips was my first BD player -- and since it had received very good reviews -- my impression was that the intolerable slowness of its loading times were due to flaws inherent in the seemingly "bloated" programming within the Blu-ray format itself, and having nothing to do with the processing power or efficiency of the player that was being used

I contacted support and got a polite but short e-mail back instructing me to update to the latest firmware and wait for the next one

Until I reset to its default I was not able to adjust it properly, whilst noticing some erratic behaviour, such as not locking into the correct A/V sync adjustment

My little $250 Panasonic has selectable 3D formatting for whatever your TV requires in addition to split A/V if necessary

BDP-103 has two HDMI outputs, assignable to split A/V or use two monitors

But then, when you choose "Split A/V" in the Dual Display options the audio output is cut from

either through ethernet or WHAT a SURPRISE through an included dongle for wireless Can be used a an A/V preamp as well

If you already own an expensive A/V receiver that serves you well, you're not inclined to replace it just for 3D support
