    • I almost feel like I stole this unit because of the price compared to performance
    • The unit itself is very easy & straightforward to set up, in no less than 5 to 10 minutes after unpacking the oppo was up and running and to this
    • But it quickly showed it was a VERY buggy unit and had awful build quality.
    • This unit will be ready whenever you make your future upgrades, Its 4k ready and 3d
    • Box was a little crunched but the unit was not damaged and was as expected.

    • This unit is worth every bit of its $499.95 retail price
    • Great unit.
    • This OPPO unit has made my life easy without complications and I need that for a non-tech savvy guy
    • The unit is easy to set up and can be placed into a host of system configurations.
    • Have had this unit for only three years, and both the front HDMI port and transport have failed in the past few weeks.
    • Although I would like to, one day, appreciate my Oppo, I have a hard time thinking that it will ever be a reliable unit
    • This unit replaced a failed top of the line 2 year old Marantz
    • Further, this unit comes with the WiFi adapter...nice plus! The upconversion of standard DVDs is excellent, is
    • I was about to just dump Oppo in the "bose" category and sign their product off as another high priced item whose quality can be had or exceeded by much cheaper competing units
    • However this unit is not region free
    • I HIGHLY recommend this unit even if it is more money
    • but I refused to believe that such a highly regarded company would send me two defective units in a row, so I purchased another unit about a week ago.
    • Nice unit.
    • The video performance is every bit as good as thePioneer Elite unit was; I am not expert enough to be able to tell if it is significantly better in normal 2D presentation; but it looks great on the Pioneer Elite Pro 60" screen I use.
    • It really is a terrific unit.
    • One stars muyst be the same unit maybe amazon gets a defective unit and reships it
    • This unit stalls and sputters on pretty much every task
    • I was surprised just how well the unit performs,I plugged it in to the power/ethernet and as soon as powered on it took a software update
    • The audio section is very sweet too, once I got over the awesome video quality I finally evaluated this unit in my bedroom, and in my living room as well.
    • Don't pay for an overpriced unit.
    • This unit does not work as well as the previous player
    • Nice unit for the price.
    • My Onkyo 7.1 unit had performed well and there was nothing wrong with it, but it lacked the power and clarity I was hoping for.
    • All the features I have used to date are awesome....solid unit will do WAYYYY more than I'll need I'm sure.
    • nice looking unit that seamsto be working very well
    • From the well constructed unit itself (it weighs over 10 pounds!
    • This unit is way faster than the Denon too
    • The unit performs extremely well and there have been no issues with it whatsoever.

    • This triggered a quality alarm in my head that was later confirmed by staggering numbers in the 1 star review sections of most popular units from respectable brands
    • Excellent unit and has a lot of features, more than I will ever use.
    • This unit is far more capable than what our family will use it for; I feel a little ashamed but is does the one thing we wanted, which was provide lighting speed access to Netflix, VuDu, Etc. - and with incredible quality
    • The Oppo unit worked OK, but it had a manufacturing date of October 2013.
    • Besides being a very cool looking unit, the Oppo BDP-103 also plays more types of media than the Denon which was a multi media player too, but now if I can't find a movie in region 1, I can look elsewhere because this unit plays them all
    • I noticed a obvious and significant difference immediately in sound and picture quality! excellent unit
    • hi, i have the bdv93 bought from amazon great unit except remote control i give it one
    • The picture quality is phenomenal, the unit is speedy and I've experienced zero glitches.
    • This unit does not disappoint!!
    • It really makes the unit flexible and a definite winner.
    • This is strange because my new Apple TV unit has real trouble streaming audio from my iTunes library, so the wireless unit in the Oppo must be superior.
    • Awesome unit
    • This unit is well worth the money and turns Blu-ray into the experience it is meant to be.
    • OPPO was very responsive to the mails asking for assistance, but still this is to fix what I think is a faulty unit
    • I have a ROKU, XBOX, HTPC, and cable box connected to a Dennon receiver with the HDMI output to the OPPO and the OPPO connected to my TV.I highly recommend this unit.
    • I almost feel like I stole this unit because of the price compared to performance
    • They said there is no way to roll back to the previous firmware unless I ship my Blu ray player back to them (which according to UPS will cost about $35).There is absolutely no excuse for this on a Blu ray player that costs twice as much as the next most expensive unit
    • The unit is blazing fast, and it is the only unit I have owned so far that eliminates the blur artifacts when
    • No wonder oppo is rated so high year after year this unit is amazing had players rated high with 2x the cost but can't compare
    • There was no hdmi cable not a big deal, unit came in great condition 2 little scratches on the lower right side
    • This unit handles these problems with ease
    • I could find no reviews saying this was anything but an exceptional unit, so I bit the bullet and bought it
    • This unit is definitely worth every cent they get for it
    • It is a great unit, with tremendous flexibility that I haven't fully explored (having installed it less than 24 hours ago), but it is well worth the $499 purchase price.
    • Now with new firmware all those issues are now passe and the unit works excellent
    • The unit can upscale DVD and Bluray material to 4K with no problem and display nicely on the Samsung 4K TV, but it is not as good as using 4K source material
    • there is a better unit out there at any price, I haven't found it, and believe me, I looked
    • Like all other smart player, this unit is connected with the internet and setting it up is a breeze.
    • Love this unit so far
    • I love this unit.
    • Yes, the OPPO 103 is likely, under ideal circumstances, the superior unit, but it is not, in our opinion, $400 better than the Sony.
    • I would highly recommend this unit to those wanting a blu ray, dvd, sacd player that does very well with stored media file playback as well.
    • so it's not really any different from a much cheaper unit.
    • The unit is built quite well and thus far has been a pleasure to own
    • After viewing them and chuckling to myself I couldn't help but write this review in an attempt to highlight that since Oppo makes the most expensive 3D blu-ray player available on amazon(i've checked), and since this unit is of itself so much more expensive than other typical 3D blu-ray players available on amazon; Why on earth wouldn't the company use only solid capacitors on the circuit board
    • Sometimes the unit will freeze up several times in a row before being able to actually stream a movie.
    • The unit itself is sleek and looks really nice with a fair amount of weight for its size
    • It is a very very good unit
    • While this is indeed an expensive unit,it really is worth every penny.
    • Infuriating unit that reuires 20 minutes of fiddling per use at minimum
    • Great unit, pricey but well worth the money!
    • The unit is a little bit buggy also, but the problem is not fatal
    • In my opinion, this unit is worth every penny and then some.
    • it).1.) solid construction (I like a unit that has a good solid disc tray with a quiet mechanism).
    • This unit is great right out of the box
    • This Universal Player comes at a high price but you won`t get a better display until you reach the Oppo BDP-105, that will only be necessary if you are really into analogue-hifi-audiophile sound, since it has a better DAC and balanced XLR connectors that are only available on high end, extremely expensive equipments
    • If you have a good TV, you won`t notice any picture quality improvement.
