    OPPO BDP-93 Universal Network 3D Blu-ray Disc Player

    • Bravo Oppo, you have done a GREAT job on this product.
    • The Oppo unit did a much better job of letting you know that these more subtle sounds (instruments) are present in the music without artificially enhancing the sound signal
    • I'm glad I did!Although the Pioneer 1121 dose a good job at video
    • The main difference is the 93 is $500.00 less than the 95.The major upgrade on the Oppo player, is the Qdeo by Marvell chip, which not only make's a Blu-ray look stunning, but it does the best job of DVD up sampling I have seen to date, making my DVD collection a lot less obsolete
    • It has a beautiful picture,does an amazing job of up-converting DVD's and plays most common video file formats flawlessly via USB.I do however have a few gripes with the audio capabilities of this player
    • The HDMI out on the Oppo takes care of all of this with that one cable!!The Oppo also does a great job at streaming Netflix to my TV.
    • Bottom line: I couldn't be happier with this player, great job OPPO!
    • Even our 11 year old Panasonic Elite did a smarter job than this box

    • The seller only had it for 6 months and lost his job and had a major car repair
    • Obviously these movies are heavily compressed due to internet bandwidth limitations, and the overall quality is not as good as a DVD, but again, the OPPO-93 did an amazing job of processing the video data to the extent that the video was enjoyable to view
    • The presentation and packaging do a terrific job of letting you know that you just purchased a special piece of equipment
    • Oppo does a great job with DVD playback
    • our tv does a great job of that.
    • But all I can say is the OPPO does a wonderful job of bringing the SACD experience to the listener
    • As both players do a good job, the Oppo BDP-93 did noticeably out preform the Sony BDP-S770 in both sound and video quality
    • The unit DOES do an excellent job with Blu-Ray and 3D, it does allow downstream from NETFLIX etc.
    • So I have had the full 9.4 setup running for around 3 weeks now and the Oppo does an amazing job with all the speakers running at the same time
    • It also does a very good job of upconverting standard DVDs.
    • It does an amazing job of converting your regular DVD's into VERY high quality HD-DVD's when put up on the screen.
    • However, this device still does a poor job of Netflix streaming, and I had to buy a Roku device to get things to work properly.
    • (These work on components which have a screw above or below the HDMI connector, which includes the BDP-93, and do a good job of holding my relatively heavy HDMI cables in place).The latest firmware release for the player (9/26) adds new features such as YouTube and Pandora
    • The Oppo's processor does the best job of upconverting I have ever seen
    • The picture from standard DVDs Amazing i played like 50 movies i had watched a million times and the picture just looked AMAZING does a wonderful job upconverting to 1080P can hardly tell difference when playing normal DVDs and Blu ray disks
    • Nice job there too!My advice, don't cheap out if you are looking for a new player
