OPPO BDP-93 Universal Network 3D Blu-ray Disc Player

    • My only major disappointment in it was its lack of Netflix streaming
    • Well there is the lack of "ease of use" in the YouTube function
    • The lack of a search function makes it unpleasant to use
    • Another big disappointment with the UI is the lack of memory for where you are when you stop playing a dvd or bluray disk.
    • Only big problem I've found is lack of support for Netflix subtitles
    • The only downside that I have is that my Receiver is not able to take full advantage of the Oppo because Marantz stopped decoding DSD of SACD disc on their newer receivers so I am stuck with lack luster 88khz sound from LPCM
    • Perhaps the lack of 24Hz DVD support would be the only technical drawback I could identify in this player, and I doubt many people will care about that (24Hz works fine for Blu-Rays, and 24Hz has been known to make some DVDs look worse!).
    • One complaint is the lack of Pandora and Slacker but I am using my MP3 player for
    • Everything works as it should.
    • Streaming Netflix does not look as good as on my PC, but on all Netflix enabled devices I have tried it never does, so not an issue for me
    • I have tried this a few times last night and as bizarre as that might seem, using the remote to open and close the loading tray causes no delay whatsoever
    • Just before the movie presents the "Star Trek" title, there's a fadeout which glowed as it would on a movie screen
    • the buttons work exactly as they should, and they don't light up
