My new UHD claims 120 hz effective rate but in reality it cannot do that good at getting a better picture than a 1080p unless the input is live tv or atleast 1080p.

Upscaling by the Oppo provides incredibly sharp pictures from standard HD Blu-Ray discs and even older DVD discs
