I dropped my phone, cracking the tempered glass I had just paid to have it put on because the otterbox didn't have my full confidence

OtterBox is the best, I bought these last two for grandsons, rough and tumble teenagers.

Even though both cases are drop tested, I do feel like the Otterbox would protects your phone a bit better in case of drops because it has two protected layer versus just a hard plastic case

I wasn't convinced (because my 5S case never had this issue) but willing to allow Otterbox to correct this mistake

Otterbox must have revised the Defender for the 5C because the Apple logo on the rear of my phone is dead center and not misaligned like others have stated

To top it off, Otterbox now makes you jump through hoops to take advantage of their warranty and get a replacement
