The protection is worth every penny

The plastic seems thinner and there is no rubber thing over the home screen button and no hard protection over earpiece

I bought this as the iphone 5 C (cheaper than the bells and whistles 5) is rounded so not all cases fit it

the otter box defender seems to work well to protect my 5-c from getting banged up, but the problem is with the plastic screen cover which allows small particles debrea to enter between it and phone screen,which looks ugly and may scratch screen.
