First Otterbox Defender case I've ever bought that didn't include a screen protector and not sure what this case is for if it doesn't protect the screen

Buy an OtterBox defender and keep it on.

The case is rugged and well built however the otterbox defender affects my signal strength inside buildings.

Before going on a trip that would take me to some rugged areas where I knew my hands might be wet and cold, I went ahead and bought the OtterBox Defender.
