If you're boiling the entire 1.7 liters, it's still much faster than the traditional method

Since I need hot water every morning for coffee, I looked at other units and ordered the "Epica Top Rated Cordless Stainless Steel Electric Kettle 1.7 Liter Stay-Cool Double Wall".

I haven't timed it yet but it will boil a liter of water faster than I boil about half that on the stove top in a traditional kettle on my electric glasstop stove

It's cheap and nice looking, but it takes 7 minutes to boil 1 L of water, which is very very slow

My last kettle took only four minutes to boil 1.75 L !!!

I have used electric kettles for years and when my ten year old Philips started to leak I was horrified and worried that I could not find one that would meet the superior standard of my old one

Took a while for the outgas-smell to go away, but it works & I like the color.
