    • After he almost burned my kitchen down using my gas range to boil water, I had to get creative.

    • My recommendation is to unplug the Ovente once your water has finished boiling
    • It's super easy to use, and I love that it has measuring lines on the side so you can get an idea how much water you're boiling
    • Warm water has lots of benefits particularly in NE's winter weather
    • When it works it does heat the water quickly and stays warm for a while if I want more than 1 cup of tea in a sitting.

    • Tonight it stopped working and the switch would not keep in the right position to boil the water
    • In that time, enough water had leaked out through the bottom of the kettle that it had overflowed the base and was puddling on the countertop
    • So now, I've actually been reduced to boiling tea water in an old pan on the stove
    • We removed the little screen in the spout since we have very hard water and it caused the flow of water to flutter down instead of pour
    • Thankfully it had been sitting for ten minutes or so after it heated up before I came back to it so the water wasn't as hot as it may have been
    • The double wall doesn't add insulation to keep the water hot.
