The bristles on this brush break down within about a month, leaving the cleaning surface to be just a matte of collapsed bristles

Have purchased 6 of these over the past few years, usually lasts 6 months or so for us then the bristles start to breakdown, this most recent brush has a new design and cheaper bristles barely lasted 2 weeks

I think this might be a trade off to delay the onset of the inevitable bristle-crush that is the fate of all dish brushes, but it makes washing cups require extra force and wrist twisting to get it both in and all the way around cups's inner surfaces (bothersome to those of us with itty bitty elf hands and wrists like hummingbird ankles)Still, so far it's holding up well, doing a good job cleaning, and is miles ahead of the competition.
