Some bending of the conductors and using some conductive fluid or gel also helps to better seat and enhance all the connections easily

Some bending of the connectors may allow better contact, but I just cut away the plastic tab, leaving the metal (conductor) part of the tab intact, reducing the thickness, thus avoiding over-spreading the connector inside the adjoining module - allowing a successful connection
