The other issue is, the cordless base does not have a detachable power cord

works great...a little bit hard to setup and you lose power you have reset the time and date

I only hope that it works when we lose power as it is supposed to do.

Good for times the power is out and you need a backup corded phone.

There would be no point in the "energy saver mode", ideally in emergency power outage young kids and or seniors may not remember the phone book stored in the base unit in the absurd Eco mode

If power is temporarily unavailable, cell phones become useless, and a remote-only phone will be dead.

We wanted the combo corded phone and the cordless phones so we have a phone whenever we should lose power

I bought it so I could have a corded phone when the power goes out... unfortunetly the power went out in a storm and the phone didnt even work!!
