We Love It!After a few years of using a very frustrating Sony DVD player that had a 5-10 second delay every time you attempted to open or close the slot for the DVD as well as turning the unit on or off, this is a breath of fresh air

Very spare little unit is capable of high quality output

Won't play DVDs recorded on more modern units.

This unit is much smaller, easy to set up and use.

This DVD-S500 is pretty much the basic unit which is exactly right for us because we don't take home videos, burn CDs or have lots of personal photos on CDs that we want to look at.

All in all a good unit, but bad remote and controls which should be much better.
