The reception quality began to deteriorate within a month of purchase and became progressively worse to the point where messages I left people were unintelligible and people I was talking with said that everthing I said was obscured by static, echoing, or badly muffled sound.

They have great sound, and are easy to set up and change settings with smart key numbers, for example, to set the phone to ring once or not at all on blocked calls you would press menu button then #173 and it takes you right to that function without having to scroll through the whole menu.
