Thanks to the bright, "constant F2.8" lens at all lengths, you can take action pictures from afar with the massive zoom (which for a DSLR would be about the length of an arm; yes those huge lens that sports photographers all have), indoor pictures with no flash, closeup pictures, and take videos with full autofocus and zoom
