It takes hours/days (depending how much you use it in the beginning) for the sub to get "worked in."

know that a great separate sub will have an amplifier built in so is surpasses the specs that the av receiver will provide to the sub which is a good thing

The one thing I did not like was that you could not attach an extension wire to the sub woofer which limits where you can put it.

It has been my experience that passive subs can be under-performing and lackluster.

For a $100 dollars more I can get a system that according to specs has a louder sub louder speakers, an actual receiver that can do a lot more but why won't i reconsider my purchase
