• Reviews around ink (2.94 of 5)

Paper Mate 89465 Profile Retractable Ballpoint Pens, Bold (1.4mm), Black, 12 Count (Package May Vary)

    • Very comfortable to use, great for taking notes and those who write fast, no smudging or slow drying ink, and a nice medium width line makes the writing very easy to read
    • Nice, dark ink with a good writing head
    • I don't have to worry about getting the ink of my pinky finger that every left dreads because we drag our hand across the writing surface-the ink dries fast enough so that doesn't happen
    • They won't bleed, or skip and they have a great ink flow
    • A little choppy ink writing
    • You can not get a clean ink stroke with these pens, print looks like it was written with a pen about to run out of ink
    • They write smoothly and the ink is dark.
    • However, the downside is the ink runs out very fast
    • I use it for nursing notes in ER, no messy ink spillage or explosions.
    • Its annoying, and a bummer since the ink is nice and thick, smooth roll on and comfortable grip.
    • I like the retractable and ink that is displayed.
    • These pens have great ink flow, write bold, no skipping of ink on the page and have a rubberized grip which makes them comfortable to use
    • Although the pins work the ink is not that dark I would prefer a darker black this seems to be more like a gray ink
    • I like the bold/thick ink and this does the job
    • The 1.4 size gives a darker ink imprint than the fine point pens.
    • The ink works well
    • The downside of the good ink delivery is that it empties the cartridge quickly
    • They have a nice smooth ink distribution, and comfy grip
    • The nib is broader than many pens which provides very easy ink flow and coverage
    • Very comfortable, clear ink, the works
    • I have been using these for years, and haven't had to deal with an ink explosion or leak yet.
    • Never knew I could be picky about an ink pen these pens work beautifully
    • There's a lot of good alternatives like Pilot G2 and Uniball 207, but if you want classic ballpoint ink and feel, these, along with the bold Bic crystals, are the best.
    • One note: these are ballpoint, not free-flowing ink
    • Nice ink flow and the tip doesn't hurt my hand.
    • Ink doesn't smear
    • Dark ink that sticks to many surfaces that others won't
    • all day long cold or/and hot weather pens write great for about 50 words then stop NO ink flow then will start again very frustrating also on different types of paper seems the ink skips almost like dotted
    • The ink comes out thick, so a lefty will smudge the ink.
    • The quality of the pen mechanism is really nice, and I even find the pen to be comfortable in my hand, however the spotty ink flow drives me insane.
    • Although the pins work the ink is not that dark I would prefer a darker black this seems to be more like a gray ink
    • I have purchased these in the past and the ink flows well
    • Ink spotty
    • Very smooth, bold ink
    • I love a good smooth black ink pen
    • Some pens worked fine some that leaked ink about 4 or 5 but they were cheap and had the paper mate name
    • These are nice pens with good ink characteristics and are comfortable to write with
    • We bought a set of these for the office, and had to toss 4 of them right out of the box because the ink had all pooled in the tips and was leaking out
    • The ink is dark and definite, all without bleeding or smearing, which makes life so much easier
    • Otherwise, the ink is faint and hard to read.
    • Nice, dark ink with a good writing head
    • I figure just so long as it writes and doesn't leak ink all over my pocket, who cares
    • I also like retractable ink pen!Poor package
    • Super smooth and great ink!
    • Those Bics had the deepest blues and blacks and wrote the smoothest.....why the expensive ones couldn't get a good ink is a mystery to me
    • The ink is like the energized bunny
    • These pens take a lot of effort to write with, your hand will get so fatigued after half a class lecture worth of notes, the ink flow is inconsistent, the ink smudged, and the ink bled out at the end of the ink cartridge in some of the pens
    • They do blob on occasion but that's the price you pay for the awesome dark, rich ink
    • I love these pens, I can't write with fine ink pens, and these are perfect.
    • Because I prefer darker ink, I generally use gel ink pens
    • Great pens- smooth writing, quick drying ink, and the amount of ink in the pen seems to last forever.
    • Smooth writing, saturated ink, and very comfortable in the band
    • I don't have to worry about getting the ink of my pinky finger that every left dreads because we drag our hand across the writing surface-the ink dries fast enough so that doesn't happen
