Maybe a little kid might think this color scheme (or lack of it) great

You don’t get the pretty colors you ordered you get 2, 2 packs of a green and blue

The main pencil that is already assembled is a nice color.

I love the way they write, the thickness of the lead, and of course the fun colors

The color of the pencil barrel doesn't change either and doesn't really compliment the bright colored end caps

but I missed the colors.

Here's what's really cool about this customizable mix and match pencil starter kit: It comes with five different colored tops (purple, light blue, dark blue, green, and red) and five different colored erasers (white, purple, blue, orange, yellow)

If the barrel was a similarly bright color it might be cool, but it's kind of a pale lavender.

The colors are pretty and if you have a student who enjoys mixing and matching colors this might be a good buy for you.

For example, one of my favorite color combinations for green is blue, but there is no blue top with the green base.

I have seen cheaper Paper Mate mechanical pencils, that may not have the cool eraser colors, but are just as effective

, I love that the lead is dark HB, I love that the eraser is over an inch long, and I love all these fun colors

The only downsides are that the grip tends to gray after a while (bit of an eyesore in brighter colors, making black my favorite ;)), the eraser kind of retracts with too much pressure or not enough attention

And my little sisters favorite color is blue

In my opinion, the colors don't really look good together mixed

These are my favorite pencils ever, they last forever, sturdy, well built, good grip, pretty colors, a bit expensive but considering I still have some of these from middle school and am now in law
