Paper Mate Clear Point Mechanical Pencils, 0.7mm, Fashion Assorted Colors, Pack of 4

    • The eraser is that great kind that twists up so you have enough eraser to make as many mistakes as you'd like.
    • Many mechanical pencils have horrible erasers - these have very nice erasers.
    • The extra long eraser which is a full 1.5 inches long is the real bonus and the fact that the eraser can be twisted up or down, much like a chapstick is also a nice touch
    • The mechanics of changing the top and inserting the eraser is easy and intuitive
    • Unfortunately, the eraser also advances and retracts while erasing.
    • The eraser can also be twisted up as it is used, something I think she enjoys playing
    • She did think it would be better if the purple top has a purple eraser and so
    • Then there are the mechanical defects, foremost among these is that the eraser, which is extendable using a rotating bezel, relentlessly retracts itself while you erase, this is typical of the Clearpoint's poorly thought out design.
    • But the eraser isn't the best
    • This is exactly what does on when retracting the eraser - it gets twisted counterclockwise and sinks in to the pencil
    • I just love the erasers
    • who write hard, the grip provides comfort and a lot of control, and the eraser is very good and lasts a long time
    • The eraser twists up easily and works very well
    • The eraser is sturdy, long and clean
    • Also, the erasers on these are good and delete the problem of needing refills for regular mechanical pencils, but if you erase kind of forcefully the eraser might go back inside the pencil but is not important enough to hinder performance
    • These work very well but the eraser can be a pain in the butt
    • Only problem is adjustable eraser keeps moving.
    • Really like the erasers, not messy.
    • The best features are that the eraser is replaceable, and the leds store in a barrel that you can see through, so you know when you need to buy more.
    • When using a mechanical pencil, you should have a *good* eraser that is convenient to use
    • There are five colorful erasers which screw into five colorful tops
    • So you can imagine my disappointment when I started my first erasing binge in a practice exam, and noticed the handy twist-out eraser twisting its
    • The eraser residue is heavier and dirtier than nicer erasers I've used in the past
    • The extra long eraser is great too.
    • The only complaint I have is that the eraser gets loose easily.
    • The top piece of the pencil is ALWAYS the piece that breaks so it was nice to see a package with additional top pieces (and erasers)
    • Finally, a mechanical pencil with a secure eraser.
    • Also, the erasers on these are good and delete the problem of needing refills for regular mechanical pencils, but if you erase kind of forcefully the eraser might go back inside the pencil but is not important enough to hinder performance
    • My boys love them for school - make it easier to write (more) neatly, always sharp, good eraser.
    • The eraser will not stay in place once you twist it up.
    • The eraser twists up easily and works very well
    • Their return stroke would have the same problem as my main stroke (twists the eraser in), but since it's the lighter stroke and not the key to the erasing, it's probably pretty quick and easy to change the erasing method (perhaps subconsciously) such that a _very_ light (or no) pressure is used on the return stroke and the eraser doesn't get twisted in
    • Many mechanical pencils have horrible erasers - these have very nice erasers.
    • The extra long eraser which is a full 1.5 inches long is the real bonus and the fact that the eraser can be twisted up or down, much like a chapstick is also a nice touch
    • Wanted to try these and I love them for many reasons, it have the best eraser then most, comfortable to write with the soft rubber
    • The normal white erasers they usually come with have never caused me any problem at all.
    • Also, the eraser just twists up and is very long
    • I have seen cheaper Paper Mate mechanical pencils, that may not have the cool eraser colors, but are just as effective
    • To put in a new eraser, place the eraser in the hole and twist the very top of the eraser holder to the left
    • The eraser that came with the pencil will leave a mess that then cannot be erased by any means.
    • The eraser is great in this set which not the norm for these pencils.
    • These pencils have HUGE adjustable height, refillable erasers, and the shape of barrel and the grippy / rubbery stuff is great and comfortable
    • The lead is strong and the twist up eraser is awesome
    • They're no as soft, leave streaks when erasing, and don't erase as completely as the old erasers
    • Unless you are a neat person, you will lose the additional eraser holders and the additional erasers.
    • Putting the eraser down on the paper and then dragging it toward me (in the main/power stroke of my erasing) therefore tends to roll the eraser counter-clockwise about the axis of the pencil
    • If this were a pack that you could mix and match to make five mechanical pencils, or if this was just the one mechanical pencil with the amazing eraser but without the extra parts, I'd love this product
    • While they're by no means perfect, as I can echo the concerns of other reviews regarding the less-than-perfect eraser design, these pencils are solid choices and my personal preference every year
    • This pencil has a nice, replacable white-eraser that completely erases and can be easily extended or retracted (and is quite long). The side-clicker is located so it does not interfere with writing, but can easily be reached when more lead is needed
    • The eraser is that great kind that twists up so you have enough eraser to make as many mistakes as you'd like.
