The lead does not break like in normal mechanical pencils and the erasers are awesome.

These are 'one time use' only so it does feel a bit wasteful but they last a really long time

I find that these erasers last about as long as the lead does then when it runs out you just throw the whole thing away

A single pencil lasts a long time, the lead doesn't pop back in to the pencil frequently like it does with mechanical pencils you have to load, and it has an eraser which can be pulled out a bit to last the life of the pencil if you erase a lot.
