They wrote better than their competitor the Bics and they were cheap and they wrote deep, dark blue, which was my favorite pen color because if you made a note in a book, the blue stood out from the text

They don't clump ink at the end of the pen or in the holder if you put them in pen down, they glide easily over the paper & they have the best color of any blue ink pen I've found
