The round barrel has a nice feeling in your hand that doesn't poke (like the triplus fineliners) and has a nice even taper (unlike the sharpie fine pens).

Flair pens have been my favorite felt pens since I was a teenager, back in the day when they came in blue, black, red, and sometimes green

BIC also makes a good felt tip marker called the BIC Intensity, and it has a wider barrel.

I used the Flair Ultra Fine felt tip pen chiefly for music copying work in the 1980s, but hadn't found them in stores in recent years

These are decent felt tip pens for someone like me who enjoys Micron pens, but don't want to hash out so much money
