I recently picked up a 250' spool of neon orange paracord from Paracord Planet, and it was top quality as I have come to expect from them.

The cord itself is decent quality, but the spool is total garbage - just a super cheap cardboard tube with two flimsy cardboard ends that are weakly plugged into the tube.

The main difference is how tightly woven this is -there's far less unraveling of the inner threads than there is with the cheaper quality product from Walmart

Uses included wrapping the necks of sledge hammers, mauls and axes to prevent over strike damage (there are excellent U-Tube videos on how to simply do this wrap to protect the handle from breakage and then have emergency cord if needed in the woods), use for rope ties with lock offs to hold down tarps on wood piles, boats, tractors, implements and more.

I highly recommend people have a spool of this around, it's fantastic for around the house as well as for packing for hiking trips

It comes in all kinds of colors as well as coming in reflective cord as well.
