When it looks slightly watered down, it may only be on a part of a letter and is not the case all the time, but on those areas it looks more like a deep deep blue instead of a solid black.
-
The black is a little better but has the same problems of being a high maintainance ink
-
Other more expensive blacks don't do as well..
-
A classic black.
-
A little darker than gray, but not a true BLACK that is rich.
-
Strong black.
-
The black for the Parker seems to be a little thin I would prefer to use either sailor or noodlers ink black
-
One star off because while the permanent black is still readable after getting wet, it gets smeary.
-
Despite how the reputation of this ink precedes it, I find that the actual experience and quality pales in comparison to that of the lesser known Waterman ink: Waterman 1.7 oz Ink Bottle for Fountain Pens, Intense Black (S0110710)
-
It is not the very darkest black.
-
Dries fast, not a solid black - has a greyish tint
-
Opted for this as an everyday ink, figured Parker was a good brand and black was a good color choice
-
Brilliant ink for ink pens, good quality black.
-
Not only did not leak, it was the darkest black, almost the same as my Noodler's bulletproof black ink!!I am not a serious collector, my collection of fountain pens is very modest, but I have never seen such dramatic differences with different pen configurations.
-
I was expecting a deeper richer black
-
It is a good, basic black with no notable undertones of other colors noticeable on decent paper.
-
The ink is a rich black and produces a nice clear bold line
-
I mean, it goes on a nice deep black, then becomes an unappealing, washed out grey
-
I only wish the ink were a darker black.
-
Good deep black and usually ends up pretty smooth on paperAttractive glass bottle with nice label on face and Parker name and symbol on topLasts long
-
Its not the darkest black but its very good color, works soomthly and writes well, also seems to be permanent
-
Other more expensive blacks don't do as well..
-
I am very satisfied with the quality of this ink, a very dark black, looking great on the page
-
I've been using Parker ink for years, this PERMANENT Black is more solid than the previous ones.
-
I didn't want a super black blackety black
-
I just started using my ink, and I love it, when it dries it comes out a little lighter, but still a good black.
-
It is NOT solid black but bluish watery black
-
Very nice ink but does not put out a solid black.
-
It isn't a very nice DARK black, but kinda very light black
-
the ink was a nice dark black and so far hasn't given me any troubles (although admittedly I have only used it in writing 2 two full length documents)

It isn't a very nice DARK black, but kinda very light black
-
the color is a beautiful, deep black that you don't get from most ball point pens
-
flows nice as well as true black in color
-
I love the blue black of this ink
-
The Parker black is a bit more muted and understated, almost a deep gray/black than vibrant black
-
Dries very quickly but not as dark as I would like.
-
The pen scratched more as if there wasn't a good flow of ink.
-
I use this with my Jinhao X450, and Bulow X750 pens, as well as with my dip pen
-
I personally love this feeling, as it allows more artistic expression when using the Parallel Pens
-
I use it to write on regular college ruled paper as well as in notebooks for taking class notes
-
the packaging wasnt as pretty as in the picture but its the same thing
-
I immediately installed it in my fountain pen and it works as it is supposed to.
-
great as always
-
Looks like blue ink, works as it should, no issues.
